I would like to let you know of a couple of house concerts: April 5th in Wilmington, NC; April 26th in Pittsburgh, PA. Please email me if you are interested in attending, they are RSVP only. These events are donation based, so the price of entry is based on what you feel like giving.
For those of you in the Triangle, we are forming a caravan and car pooling to Wilmington. I will be playing the surbahar in the Dhrupad style with some lighter pieces too. If you do not feel like making the drive back to the Triangle, we can accommodate. Just bring a sleeping bag and a pillow. For the Pittsburgh house concert, I will be playing surbahar and sitar. I will be joined by Josh Sherman on tabla. This is in a great Pittsburgh neighborhood right next to Frick Park. There will be light snacks served along with beverages of many types. If you’re in Pittsburgh, you won’t want to miss this. I would also like to thank everyone who came out to the Heart of Yoga School concerts. I feel so grateful to share music with such wonderful people. I will be returning back to the School on June 20th. But more importantly, my Guruji will be conducting a “Breath & Tone: Fundamentals to a Yogic Approach to Vocalization” workshop on June 21st.
